We will still greet you with a smile, from a safe distance, when you come in the building but we have put your room keys, turndown treats, and room service breakfast cards in a door hanger on your door. You can now check-in on your phone as long as we have your e-mail address on file. We ask all of our guests to give us a call or text (765-430-3081) when they are on their way to the Inn, so we know to expect you. We can also arrange for a 100% contact-free check-in as well, if you so desire.

Check-in is at 3:00 P.M. Check-out is at 12:00 P.M. If you will be arriving after 10 P.M., we do ask that you let us know in advance so that you have easy access at whatever time you arrive.

We do take first night deposit at the time of booking. Our cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to arrival for a full refund. This excludes Purdue football game weekends, which requires a 14 day prior to arrival notice for cancellation, along with Purdue Spring Commencement. Purdue Spring Commencement requires 30 days prior to arrival notice for cancellation and we take the full stay deposit at the time of booking

The Whittaker allows dogs in our Spain and Greece rooms. These rooms feature a patio for easy in-and-out access with your furry family. No more than 2 dogs in the rooms and the dogs must not be left unattended in the room unless crated. ADA regulated service animals are allowed in all rooms.

All room rates include a full breakfast that you can enjoy daily. If you prefer a lighter fare, we offer a continental spread including fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereals. We also offer hot breakfast items, including, but not limited to, eggs any way you want them, pancakes, omelets, and French Toast. Breakfast can be enjoyed either in the restaurant or in the comfort of your own rooms. Hours and menu cards are provided at check-in with your room keys.

The Whittaker Kitchen is open 7 days a week for overnight guests for reservations from 4-8 P.M. We recommend making reservations at a minimum of 24-48 hours prior to your desired reservation date as we limit our seating to no more than 30 people for dinner service. Reservations can be made by calling (765) 441-2010 or sending an email to info@thewhittakerinn.com.

For the general public, open dining is Wednesday through Sunday from 4-8 P.M. Carry-out is offered at the same times. As with the overnight guests, we recommend making reservations at a minimum of 24-48 hours prior to your desired reservation date as we limit our seating to no more than 30 people for dinner service. Reservations can be made by calling (765) 441-2010 or sending an email to info@thewhittakerinn.com.

We do require that we receive all meal selections, excluding drinks and desserts, by noon on the date of your dinner. This applies to both dine-in and carry-out orders. We require this so that when you arrive for your dinner, you can enjoy a primarily decision-free meal and focus your attention on your guests instead of choosing what you would like to eat. We will then bring your food out in courses based on your selections.

Because breakfast is included in the room rates for all reservations, breakfast is limited to overnight guests. Overnight guests can arrange for visitors to join them for breakfast for an additional $15.00 plus tax per person.

As the dining room is also our event space for groups, we require a minimum of 6 people to book a private lunch. Event menus are available for these requests, and we can also customize a menu based on your group’s preferences.

We do have a full liquor license with beer, wine, and spirit options available for purchase. You cannot bring liquor into the dining spaces that is not purchased at The Whittaker, as that is not covered by our liquor license.

We have always taken the utmost care to ensure that our rooms are clean as your comfort and safety are our top priority. We do not enter the guest room until your departure unless specific items are requested. We are happy to replace towels/toiletries and take out garbage as needed. If staying three or more nights, we can arrange for a mid-stay cleaning if desired.  All laundry is done on premise with commercial grade equipment, detergents, and disinfectants.so our linens never leave our property.

We are five miles away from Purdue's campus.  Ross Ade Stadium and Mackey Arena are a 10 minute drive, and Elliott Hall of Music is a 15 minute drive from The Whittaker Inn.

We offer complimentary high-speed WiFi throughout the building for use during your stay or event.

We have two night kitchens, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, for guests to enjoy 24/7 access to non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, soda, and water. In addition, the kitchens have assorted snacks, an ice machine, and microwave for your use during your stay.

The fitness room features a treadmill, a recumbent bike, kettle balls, and dumbbells.

Yes, we offer gift cards that can be used for both overnight accommodations or the dining experience.  These gift cards can be purchased in person, over the phone, or digitally through the "Gift Cards" page of our website.
