If you are an art lover, then the Lafayette area has some hiddens gems that you may enjoy. From simply viewing art and historical items to finding a place to create your own, personal work of art - it is a short drive to find something that will spark your creative side. In addition to the places listed below, the greater Lafayette area also has approximately 150 public art displays throughout the community.

Haan Museum

The house was originally the Connecticut State Building for the 1904 Saint Louis World Fair. Today, The Haan Museum is home to one of the largest collections of Indiana art. Also featured there is a Sculpture Garden featuring 27 masterpieces made by some of Indiana's best artists.

Art Museum of Greater Lafayette

This museum has been a part of Historic Downtown Lafayette since 1909. Their collection includes over 1,500 objects and focuses on 19th, 20th, and 21st-century American art with a special emphasis on the art of Indiana and surrounding states.

"All Fired Up" and "All Wined Down"

All Fired Up! is a paint your own pottery art studio for people of all ages and talents (no artistic talents necessary, they'll show you how to find your artistic side). Walk ins welcome! - All Wined Down! is the sister studio to All Fired Up! It's a fabulous wine bar open to ages 18 and up featuring local boutique wines, art gallery for local artists and creating your own art, and an art boutique currently open by reservation only (groups of 6 or more).

Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette

Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette is one of the oldest continuously active theatre organizations in Indiana, founded in 1931 as the Lafayette Little Theatre, then reorganized and incorporated as Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette in 1966. Civic Theatre is Greater Lafayette’s community theatre in the purest sense of the word: a theatre that entertains the community, serves the community, reflects the community and involves the community.

Elliott Hall of Music

Purdue Convocations presents Broadway musicals, operas, ballets, rock, country and pop groups, as well as comedians, lecturers and symphonies on the Elliott Hall stage. Elliott Hall is also home to the nationally recognized Purdue Musical Organizations’ Christmas Show.

The Long Center for the Performing Arts is currently home of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and the Long Center Theatre Organ Society’s 3 manual, 21 rank, Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ.  Many other arts organizations frequently perform on the stage of the Long Center including: Purdue Musical Organizations, The Lafayette Ballet, the Passion Play, and many others.
